Garden Club plans ‘Tea & Crumpets in the Garden’ for today

The Greensboro Garden Club will be hosting “Tea and Crumpets in the Garden” at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Thursday, April 25 beginning at 3:30 PM. Join club members in a presentation on the gardens of Downton Abbey, featuring master gardener June Mays.

In the presentation, Mays will reveal details on locations where the fictional television and movie series was shot, how the various gardens are designed, and the plants grown there.

Enjoy a number of refreshments typical of a high tea in England., including scones, sweets, savories, and a variety of teas. Tables will be set with patterned china, silver, and floral arrangements. Ladies attending are encouraged to wear their best garden hats.

Tickets are $20 per attendee. Tickets may be purchased through members of the Greensboro Garden Club.
