Eastern Star chapter to hold drug take-back day Oct. 24 in Marion

The Order of the Eastern Star’s Taylor’s Pride Chapter No. 712 will hold Perry County Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Perry County Courthouse, 300 Washington St., Marion.

The chapter is holding the day with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion Police Department. Old, unwanted and unneeded prescription drugs may be turned in safely and anonymously.

Bring prescription drugs, with all personal identifying information marked out. Do not bring sharps, needles or hazardous waste. Controlled substances must be disposed of through channels approved by the Drug Enforcement Administration and should not be flushed down a sink or toilet.
