Linda Diane Jones Hill was born on February 12, 1956, and peacefully departed this life on May 30, 2026, at Prattville Baptist Hospital, at the age of 70.

A woman of faith, strength, and compassion, she accepted Christ at a young age and carried her faith with her throughout her life’s journey.

Linda was the daughter of the late Deacon Clayton Jones and Mrs. Louise Bell.

Linda met and married the late Richard Hill, and from that union they had one son. Family was at the center of Linda’s heart, and she found great joy in supporting and encouraging those she loved.

Professionally, Linda faithfully served the children and families of Hale County as a Special Education Aide with the Hale County Board of Education. She was known for her patience, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping those who couldn’t help themselves. Her work reflected her caring spirit and desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved mothers, Louise Bell and Mary Frances Slaughter; her father, Clayton Jones; her husband, Richard Hill; her sisters, Angela Slaughter and Barbara Thomas; and her brother, Joe Slaughter.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories and continue her legacy of love her two devoted sons, Kelvin (Paris) Hill of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Naki Jones of Cathedral City, California; and four beloved grandchildren, Shandrika Douglas of Greensboro, Alabama, Kelvin Hill Jr. of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Zaiden Mabien and Kinsley Hill of Wetumpka, Alabama.

She also leaves behind her cherished special friends, Stacey Smith, Cookie Smith, and Deb Jones of Greensboro, Alabama, and Epatha Nolen and Robin Henderson of Wetumpka, Alabama, along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure her memory.

Services were held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Greensboro, Alabama.

Linda’s life was a testament to faith, love, and service. Her warm smile, strong spirit, and caring heart will be deeply missed, but the legacy she leaves behind will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her love and influence will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
