Larry Lightning, formerly of Greensboro, died April 10, at the age of 64. He was born May 5, 1959.
Larry is survived by his lovely wife of forty years, Mrs. Rosie Waller-Lightning of Bonaire, GA; sons, Dalionel L. Lightning, Larry D. Lightning Jr.; daughter, Lacey D. Lightning all of Bonaire, GA; grandchildren, Dalone L. Lightning, Davareon L. Lightning, Zyonna P. Lightning, Saige A. Robinson, Nyesha Sanders, Takaria Ash, Aaliyah Glaze, and a bonus grandson, Lamir D. Nichols; brother, Melvin H. Lightning of Greensboro, AL; sisters, Diane L. Banks of Greensboro, AL, and JoAnn “Spicy” Lightning of Columbus, GA; a loving father- in-law, Pat Waller Sr., of Sawyerville, AL; brothers-inlaw, William Waller (Debra) of Templeton, MA, Eddie Waller (Beverly) of Moundville, AL, Ronald Waller (Valarie) of Columbus, GA, LaMount Rhodes (Kristen) of Tuscaloosa, AL; sisters-in-law, Revona Waller-Tinker (Raymond) of Sawyerville, AL, Cynthia Miller-Waller of Connecticut; a special aunt, Alma Gooden of Greensboro, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; preceded him in death, brother, Renferd S. Lightning; sisters, Annie Delois Gooden-Agnew, and Mary Alice Gooden. Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 17,, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 P.M. in the Agnew Funeral Home Chapel, 1110 Baptist Hill Greensboro, AL. Celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 18, at 12:00 noon at Salem Baptist Church, Greensboro, AL, and interment followed in the Sarah Christian Cemetery Highway 25 North, Greensboro. The Hon. Rev. Marvin Wiggins officiated.
