Pursuant to an Order rendered by the Circuit Court of Hale County, Alabama, in Civil Action No. CV-2021-900050, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Hale County shall sell to the highest bidder, for cash, by sealed bids, certain real property owned by the Estate of Willie Lee Smith, deceased, said property being situated in Hale County, Alabama, and being more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

The East Half of the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 20 North, Range 5 East, Hale County, Alabama, containing 40 acres, more or less.

The sale is made for the division of the proceeds among the joint owners and tenants in common and will be subject to approval and confirmation of the Hale County Circuit Court.

Bids must be submitted on or before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Bids will be opened in Court at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023.

Default having been made of the terms of the loan documents secured by that certain mortgage executed by Willie Stevenson An Unmarried Man to CitiFinancial Corporation LLC dated August 24, 2007; said mortgage being recorded on August 29, 2007, in Book 353, Page 641 in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Hale County, Alabama. NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS INVITATION FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids will be received by the Utilities Board of the City of Greensboro until Friday September 1, 2023, at 10:00 A.M., local time, for the work according to Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. No bids will be received after the time set forth hereinabove; and the Bids will be publicly opened and read.

The Bid Documents will be opened at The Utilities Board of the City of Greensboro on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10:00 A.M., 1101 Main Street, Greensboro, Al 36744. If your Bid Documents are mailed, they should be received prior to September 1, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at The Utilities Board of the City of Greensboro, 1101 Main Street, Greensboro, Al 36744.

The work of providing labor, equipment, and material for the REBID of the Proposed Greensboro Sewer Infrastructure Improvements Project Contract A1″ Greensboro Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project -CWSRF PROJECT NO. CS010942-01.

The principal items of work are detailed herein below:

  1. Slip lining of Gravity Sewer Pipe (Furnish and Install)
  2. Point Repairs (Furnish and Install)
  3. Manhole Rehabilitation (Furnish and Install)
  4. Gravity Sewer Line Creek Repair (Furnish and Install)

Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are open to public inspection at the office of Owner, The Utilities and Sewer Board of the City of Greensboro 1101 Main Street, Greensboro, Al 36744, or may be obtained from the office of the Engineers, Utility Engineering Consultants, LLC, 130 Southcrest Drive., Suite 100, Homewood, AL 35209 upon deposit of $ 75.00 per set, the actual cost of printing, reproducing, handling and distribution for each set of documents. No refunds will be made except to Prime Contractor Bidders, which shall be refunded for one bid set.

The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and must secure his bond from a bonding company’s representative or agent in the State of Alabama.

No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening bids has passed. The Owner reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receiving the Bids.

The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 120 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IF CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED. The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner.

The contractor shall note that funds for this project are provided through CWSRF (Clean Water State Revolving Funds). All Applicable Federal Guidelines must be met. There will be a Pre-Bid meeting on August 22, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
