The April 12, 2022 meeting of Veritas Club was held at the annex to Peoples Bank of Greensboro. Ten members were present. Hostesses were Claire Horn and Brenda Anthony. Sue Bonner, president, presided. The secretary, Anne Bailey, read minutes from the previous meeting and Karen Whitis provided the treasurer’s report.
Members of the EducationC committee recommended two seniors for $500 scholarships – James Thomas and Haley Marie Hoggle. The two scholarships will be awarded at Senior Day at their respective schools. James Thomas will graduate in May 2022 from Southern Academy and Haley Hoggle will graduate as Valedictorian at Hale County High School in May of 2022.
Veritas Club was adjourned after the group recited the collect.
