The 2026 National Day of Prayer observance in Greensboro will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 12 noon on the steps of the Hale County Courthouse. This year’s theme is “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seek Him in All Generations!” based on 1 Chronicles 16:24. The Greensboro Ministerial Association and surrounding churches invite the public to attend.

The Oakwood Cemetery Association recently honored the life of John C. Jay Jr. with the planting of an Auburn Toomer’s Oak at Oakwood Cemetery.
