Nashville recording artist, Melody Guy, will grace the stage at the Historic Greensboro Opera House on Sunday, November 10 at 3 PM. Admission is free of charge.
Melody Guy, who has been described as a vocal powerhouse, is a touring Americana singer/songwriter. Based in Nashville, Guy has racked up more than a million and a half miles touring the U.S. alone. Her vocal style has been compared to Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, and Bonnie Raitt. Melody Guy’s songs weave tales that resonate with music lovers through her blend of rock, country, pop, and soul.
Guy has received standing ovations at the Ryman Auditorium and has shared the stage with Amy Grant, Tanya Tucker, John Michael Montgomery , Keith Urban, Leon Russell, Nanci Griffith, The Avett Brothers, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, and many more.
Her latest album, “Dry the Rivers,” was featured on Billboard with a full album premiere.
Melody’s passion project is working at the summer camp “Barefoot Republic” at The Farm with singer Amy Grant. Guy is on the worship team and writes songs with campers as well as writing songs with veterans living with P.T.S.D. at Amy Grant’s farm through Music Therapy Retreats.
