Hale County Hospital Welcomes Two New Nurse Practitioners, Ellen and Jessica!
Hale County Hospital is excited to announce the addition of two dedicated Nurse Practitioners, Ellen Singleton and Jessica James, to our healthcare team!
Meet Ellen, who brings a wealth of experience and a heartfelt commitment to her patients. Originally from the Gallion/Demopolis area, Ellen had a unique journey into healthcare. After nearly completing her education degree at the University of West Alabama, she shifted gears, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Alabama Southern Community College. She then pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Auburn University at Montgomery and ultimately obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner credentials at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Ellen is deeply committed to ensuring her patients receive the best possible care. “I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they have everything they need,” she says. Outside of work, Ellen enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting, and attending Auburn football games. She also treasures time spent with her two children, Charlie and Maddie, both Biomedical Science majors at Auburn. An interesting personal tidbit— when Ellen was two, her sister saved her from a near drowning incident that made the front page of the Democrat Reporter!
Meet Jessica, a proud Greensboro native who is excited to be serving her hometown. “Greensboro has always been home for me, and I look forward to helping out my community,” she shares. After completing her undergraduate studies at Troy University, Jessica pursued her graduate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, gaining the skills and expertise necessary to provide exceptional care.
In her free time, Jessica loves spending time with her family by the pool or river, enjoying the outdoors together. She also has a green thumb, often working in her flower beds, and finds relaxation in curling up with a good book. A fun fact about Jessica? She has been walking on her toes since childhood, so you might just notice her tiptoeing around the clinic!
