Next Sunday, October 20, the Fabulous Bakersfield Boys will be performing at the Greensboro Opera House, beginning at 3 PM. A reception will follow the performance. The evening performance comes alongside a variety of ongoing performances promoting the restoration efforts for the Greensboro Opera House.

The duo consists of Mike Rainey and Ken Bausano, the latter of which has performed at the Opera House on a number of occasions. Most recently Bausano made a cameo with his wife, performing a 1920’s rendition of the jazz standard “Honeysuckle Rose” as part of the original production, The Phantom of the Greensboro Opera House.

Rainey and Bausano both performed in California as members of the groups Sanctuary and Chesterfield King. The duo will meet for a rare reunion for an evening of jazz and light refreshments. This event is free and open to the public. Donations to the Greensboro Opera House Restoration Fund are encouraged and always accepted.
