Kathryn King Elliott, age 94 of Tuscaloosa, passed away on March 11, 2024 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Sept. 1, 1929. Services were held March 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning one hour prior at Magnolia Chapel South. Graveside services followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Bro. Shane Housley officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Elliott; her parents, Louis and Ida Lou Wyatt King; and her sister, Mabel Jean Mitchell.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheri Shirley (Robert) and Nancy Elliott; son, Charles Scott Elliott (Cyndi); brother, Louis Y. “Buster” King (Jan); grandchildren, Bobbi Simmons (Don), Ashley Trammell (Josh) and Austin Wesley Elliott; great-grandchildren, Anne Marie Heaton (Cooper), John Wesley, Drake, Aubrey and Fisher; great-great-grandchild, Amelia; as well as honorary daughter, Vickie Powell.
Mama Kack devoted her entire life to caring for her family and serving others. She was a seamstress for friends and family. She was an avid reader and inspired others to love books as well. She was a true example of self-sacrificial, unconditional love. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers were Don Simmons, Josh Trammell, John Wesley Anders, Cooper Heaton, Drake Jones and Mitchell Silas.
