James Eppes, 89, entered eternal rest on November 6, 2023, at his residence. His loving wife of 62 years, Bernice Eppes; daughters Starwanthia Lee, Shalandra Martin, Shatonya Blackmon, Shatanya Ford, and Evelyn Pelt; six grandchildren; brothers Jacob and Johnny Eppes; sisters Lois Furlow and Lealia Marks; and sister-in-laws Jean, Helen, Love, and Mae Francis Eppes survive him. His visitation was held at The Agnew Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life and interment were conducted at The Agnew Funeral Home Chapel and Thomas Cemetery, with Bishop Thomas S. Lee, Jr. officiating.
