The much-anticipated Sawyerville River Fest is back for its tenth year and is set to take place this Saturday, September 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The annual Hale County event, cherished by many, will be hosted at Lock 6 park, located on Co. Rd. 15 in Sawyerville. In light of current health concerns, this year’s fest will feature free masks and a sanitation station to ensure the safety of all attendees. The event promises an array of fun activities, including “Minute to win it” games, raffles, and exciting prize drawing giveaways. Attendees can also look forward to complimentary hot dogs, burgers, and fish. The event is proudly sponsored by Thomas Helping Hands and the Sawyerville River Fest Committee. Those seeking more information or details about the fest can reach out to Mary Thomas at 334-507-1414 or Ada Webb at 334-507-0521.
