The annual Fly-In at Vaiden Field south of Marion was well-attended on Saturday, March 25. Though inclement weather interfered, especially early in the day and for pilots who had planned on coming from long distances, families from Perry, Hale, Dallas, and Marengo counties, and elsewhere, converged on Perry County’s airfield for a day of fun, music, food, games, and activities. MMI’s band provided musical entertainment, and various food vendors were on hand offering food and treats. Regular attendees said this year’s event had one of the best turnouts yet.
