Frances “Hundy” McCreary, 58, passed away on February 24, 2023. She was born on October 8, 1964, to Frances “Coot” Lewis and Warren “Walt” Lewis, Sr., both of whom preceded her in death. Frances was also preceded in death by her brother Tommie Lewis and sisters Velma and Joetta Lewis. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Frances is survived by her son, Frederick O’Neal McCreary Jr., three grandchildren whom she adored, Anaiyla Love McCreary, Kaleb Ahmir McCreary, and Kailey Aryelle McCreary, as well as her siblings Warren Lewis Jr., Martha Lewis, Doria (Winston) Lee, Diane (Joe Mac Williams) Lewis, Rory Lewis, and Barbara (Tanika) Lewis, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service for Frances “Hundy” McCreary was held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Curry Grove Cemetery in Newbern, Alabama. Rev. William Lee officiated, and Sister Louise Daniels d served as Mistress of Ceremonies.
