Qualifying is underway for local offices on the 2026 ballot in Hale County, with several incumbents and at least one challenger already in the races. The Greensboro Opera House will launch a yearlong storytelling series, “Twice-told Tales: A Season of Storytelling,” with a weekend workshop and performance set for Saturday, Jan. 31, and Sunday, Feb. 1.
