She was born February 24, 1931, in Greensboro to the late Roland S. Williams and Annie Bea Williams. She attended Mount Hermon School and later attended Greensboro High School. On August 3, 1947, she married the love of her life, George Alvin McCrory. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love.
She devoted twenty years to a career in manufacturing before later working in retail at The Country Touch in Greensboro, where she enjoyed meeting and serving others.
She found joy in decorating her home and helping decorate for others, tending to her beautiful yard, traveling, and spending countless hours reading. She was a faithful member of Bible Methodist Church in Greensboro, where her love for the Lord and His Word guided her life.
Of all the titles she held in life, the one she cherished most was “MeMaw.” Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest blessings of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Her home was always beautifully decorated, her table always welcoming, and her heart always open to family and friends. She had a special way of making those around her feel loved, comfortable, and at home. Those simple gifts, along with her steadfast faith and deep devotion to her family, are the legacy she leaves behind.
Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and unconditional love have left a lasting legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A life so beautifully lived leaves a beautiful legacy. Annie’s love, faith, kindness, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she is home with her Savior, reunited with those she loved, and at peace.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Alvin McCrory; her parents, Roland S. Williams and Annie Bea Williams; her sisters, Melba Williams and Lollie Beatrice Caldow (John, deceased); her brothers, Roland Williams Jr. (Sara Jean, deceased) and Donald Williams (Opal, deceased; Marjorie); and her beloved granddaughters, Ashley Brooke Stewart and Brittney Ann Stewart.

She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to your favorite charity in her honor.
