The Hale County Sheriff’s Office is helping residents learn life-saving skills through a free CPR training class next week.
The Citizens CPR Training class is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, at 6 p.m. at the Hale County Courthouse. There is no cost to participate.
The training is designed to teach residents CPR skills that can be used during emergencies when someone goes into cardiac arrest or stops breathing. Knowing how to properly perform CPR can help bystanders provide early assistance while emergency medical personnel are en route to the scene.
According to the event announcement from Sheriff Michael Hamilton and the Hale County Sheriff’s Office, participants will also receive a free certificate on completion of training.
Those interested in attending are asked to sign up in advance. Registration is available by emailing clerk@halecoso or calling 334-624-3081.
