Hale County Hospital is investing $250,000 received through the Rural Hospital Investment Program in new equipment, including a CT scanner, ultrasound equipment and IV pumps.

The hospital said the purchases give its team more tools to provide high quality diagnostic and treatment services close to home.

RHIP allows individuals and businesses to direct tax dollars toward essential local needs. The hospital credited the local donors who chose to invest in Hale County Hospital, along with Kirk Accounting Agency, for educating clients about the opportunity and encouraging participation.

“Every contribution is an investment in stronger local healthcare and a healthier Hale County,” the hospital said in its announcement.
