City announces new procedure for large trash item pickup

The City of Greensboro has announced a new procedure for the pickup of large household items.

Residents who need large, no-longer-needed household items removed from their property should call Sharon McCalpine, public works clerk for the City of Greensboro, at 334-507-3267. McCalpine will then contact the city maintenance department to schedule the pickup.

The City announced the change on its Facebook page this week, sharing a post from Councilmember Pearl Shepherd, who said the new procedure applies to residents and must be followed for items to be collected.
