A memorial fund has been established at Peoples Bank of Greensboro to help the family of Dale Bates, the longtime Greensboro postal worker who died last month.
The Dale Bates Memorial Fund will assist his wife, Patrice Bates, in caring for their son, Dale Bates Jr., 32, who has cerebral palsy. Those wishing to contribute may do so at Peoples Bank of Greensboro.
Green ribbons have also been tied on mailboxes around town in Bates’ memory, a fitting nod to his decades of service with the U.S. Postal Service, and more ribbons are expected to be available soon at the post office.
