First Baptist of Akron sets homecoming July 19

First Baptist Church of Akron will hold its annual Homecoming and Twelve Tribes Program on Sunday, July 19, at 2 p.m. at the church, 7160 First Avenue North.

The celebration brings together two of the church’s traditions, Homecoming and the Twelve Tribes Program, for an afternoon of worship and fellowship. The program will honor the legacy of members who helped build the church, recognize its Twelve Tribes, and include dinner.

The guest minister will be Rev. Robert Jackson, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dancy.

Current members, former members, families and friends are invited to attend. The church has titled this year’s celebration “A Call to Come Home.”
