To the Citizens and Community of Hale County,
After much prayer, thought, and reflection, I have decided that I will not be renewing or seeking re-election for Hale County Coroner.
For the past 16 years, it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve the people of this county. During some of the most difficult moments families could face, you trusted me to serve with compassion, dignity, and respect. That trust has never been taken lightly, and I will forever be grateful for the confidence and support you have shown me throughout the years.
Hale County is more than just a community to me — it is home. The relationships built, the lives touched, and the experiences shared will remain with me always.
At this moment, this is not a goodbye, but simply an “I’ll see you later.” Life often leads us into new seasons, and while this chapter may be closing, my love and appreciation for this community will never change.
Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you for 16 unforgettable years. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support. It has truly been a privilege to serve you.
Although I will no longer serve in the role of Hale County Coroner, I will continue to remain 100% devoted to serving families and our community through Washington & Paige Mortuary. Caring for the people of Hale County has always been my passion, and that commitment will continue for many years to come.
