Engle Gallery to host free lecture on abstract art as part of America 250 celebration

The Engle Gallery in Greensboro will host a free lecture by Kitty Johnson on Friday, May 22, at 5:00 p.m. as part of the city’s America 250 celebration events.

Johnson will present “Abstract Art in America: From Its Early Folk Art Roots to the Modern Era.”

The gallery said it will be hosting several activities over the coming months in connection with the national semiquincentennial.

The event is free and open to the public. The Engle Gallery is located in downtown Greensboro.
