Eugene Tinker Sr. of the Akron-Sawyerville community entered eternal rest on Monday, April 21, 2026. He was 71 years old. Mr. Tinker was born on February 7, 1955.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Agnew Funeral Home, 1110 Baptist Hill Road, Greensboro.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Bass Tabernacle CME Church, 22890 County Road 32, Akron. Interment will follow at Tinker Family Cemetery in Sawyerville. Agnew Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
