Diane Watkins, 59, of Greensboro, Alabama, was born on September 22, 1965, to James Abrams and Rosie Lee Watkins. She departed this life on August 13, 2025.
She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined Salem Baptist Church. Later in life, she joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she served until her death.
Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Lee Watkins.
She is survived by her children, Melvin (Chastity) Watkins, Devin (Lisa) Williams, Queen Watkins, and Kinte Watkins. She also leaves six sisters, Charlene Jones, Bobbie Ann Curtis, Lillie (Willie) Williams, Jacqueline (Michael) Long, Tara (Willie) Demming, and Vera Jackson; and five brothers, Kenneth (Rhonda) Abrams, James (Michelle) Abrams Jr., Emmanuel Watkins, Eddie (Demetrice) Watkins, and Floyd (Yolanda) Watkins. Diane is also survived by eight grandchildren, two close friends, Ollie B. White and Cenora Gray, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service was held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Highway 14 East in Greensboro, Alabama. Pastor Calvin Johnson officiated.
