Funeral services for Barbara Ann Dedrick White were held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Sawyerville, Alabama.
She was born on November 8, 1952, to the late Pettie Waller. On August 25, 2024, she was touched by God’s angels, gained her wings, and went to glory.
Barbara confessed herself to Christ at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jameca White, and by two grandsons, Randy McGuffie, Jr. and LaMarcus O’Neal McGuffie. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Myra Brown, and her brothers, Clarence Dedrick, Austin Long, William Conner, Robert Lee Harris, and James Rober.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her special mother, Florence Waller; two daughters, Nicole Dedrick Wyss and Erica (LeAnthony) Parrish; and one son, Charles White, Sr. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Romona Benison, Cameron Williams, Danyelle White, Charles White, Jr., and Darryl Evans, Jr., along with a host of great-grandchildren.
Her surviving sisters include Annie R. Cotton, Mary Anderson, Annie Brown, and Mary Hoskins. Her surviving brothers are Leon Dedrick, John Dedrick, Walter Lee Taylor, and Marvin Waller.
She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including one very special niece whom she raised as a daughter, Cynthia Tubbs. She is also survived by a special daughter-in-law, La- Tondria Paige, and a special son, Morris Lawson.
Her special God sisters are Annie Fields and Essie Mae Davis, and her special God brothers are Harry Davis and Tyrone Davis. Barbara also leaves behind her special friend and sister, Mary Louise Tunstell.
