Volunteers from Hale County recently visited Selma. The Catfish Navy, a Hale County-based relief organization, brought a food truck and served catfish plates to relief workers and tornado victims in Selma. Volunteers fed 600 people in less than three hours.
Among other volunteers were members of the First Baptist Church of Selma, Judge Marvin Wiggins, Judge Jimmy Nunn, and representatives from the Serious Injury Law Firm. The Catfish Navy noted that with this recent volunteer event, they have fed over 26,000 people in need since the formation of the organization in 2018. As pictured above, the group also recently sponsored a banner celebrating Greensboro’s Bicentennial.
