Alabama State Senator Bobby Singleton will be hosting a Back to School Job and Health Fair in downtown Greensboro Saturday, August 6. From 10 AM to 5 PM, citizens can enjoy a fun-filled family day with free food and activities for all ages. Vendors will be on hand, along with a water bouncy house for the children. There will also be a school supply giveaway in anticipation of the upcoming academic year. This event is sponsored by: Alabama Senator Bobby Singleton; the City of Greensboro; Men of Valor; Live-In Your Dream Outreach; Herb Jones; and the Hale County Community Enrichment Society, Inc.

    A Newbern woman has been indicted in Hale County Circuit Court on charges of promoting prison contraband. Trenyce Lashay Rollins, 19, of Newbern, was arrested on the charges Nov. 21 of last year, according to court records. The indictment, returned during the April session of the Hale County Grand Jury, accuse Rollins of attempting to bring marijuana into the Hale County Jail.
