The Magnolia Homemakers and Community Leaders met on May 17 at Hale County Extension building. Nancy Jennings, president, presided at the business meeting. The scholarship committee presented a certificate for $500 scholarship to Shanice Gray, a graduating senior at Greensboro High School. Shanice plans to attend Alabama A & M University.
Members brought canned items to contribute to the food pantry in Moundville. Additionally, members signed up to furnish some dessert selection to assist with meal on September 8 at the Community Disaster Program.
Anne Bailey shared a devotional story. The meeting’s program was given by Nurse Pam Hamilton who shared practical and useful information and tips on medication safety.
Nancy Jennings led the craft project.

The next meeting will be held on June 21 with Jovita Lewis as hostess. Members will bring supplies to assist the Hale County Animal Shelter.
