March is National Nutrition Month and Hale County
residents have been enjoying the efforts from those at
the Hale County Extension
Office to mark the month.
On Thursday, March 24,
the Hale County Extension
Office hosted a drive-thru
event at their facilities. The
event was in correlation
with their month-long celebration of National Nutrition
Month. During the event
Extension Agents and employees shared educational
information with participants as they drove through
the various booths, tables,
and displays arranged along
the route. A large cutout
frame to pose with, gardening demonstrations, and various literature was shared
with participants.
On Friday, March 25,
Judge Arthur Crawford, Probate Judge for Hale County,
officially made March “National Nutrition Month” for
Hale County. Agents from
the Hale County Extension
Office were on hand to witness the signing of the
proclamation, with nutritional information and
stuffed vegetables to celebrate.
