MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE
Default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by that certain mortgage executed on June 26, 2015 by Logan Hunt and Leeah Walker, husband and wife, as joint tenants with full rights of survivorship, originally in favor of Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as Nominee for First Federal Bank, FSB, and recorded in Mortgage Book 2015 at Page 426 on July 2, 2015, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Hale County, Alabama, and secured indebtedness having been transferred or assigned to Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. as reflected by instrument recorded in Mortgage Book 2020, Page 503 of the same Office. LOGS Legal Group LLP, as counsel for Mortgagee or Transferee and under and by virtue of power of sale contained in the said mortgage will, on April 7, 2022, sell at public outcry to the highest bidder in front of the main entrance of the Hale County, Alabama, Courthouse in the City of Greensboro, during the legal hours of sale, the following real estate situated in Hale County, Alabama, to wit:
Begin at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 11, Township 20 North, Range 4 East, marked with an iron pipe; thence run North 0° 44′ 09″ East along the section line between Sections 11 and 12 for a distance of 445.00 feet to a point; thence run North 89° 15′ 54″ West for a distance of 10 feet (See Deed Book A-60, Page 181) on the West margin of a 10-foot right-of-way to an iron pipe which is the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence run North 89° 15′ 54″ West for a distance of 150.00 feet to an iron pipe; thence run North 0° 44′ 08″ East for a distance of 309.70 feet to an iron pipe on the South boundary of an old road; thence run South 76° 15′ 30″ East for a distance of 153.96 feet to an iron pipe on the West margin of said 10-foot right-of-way; thence run South 0° 44′ 15″ West parallel with the East boundary of Section 11, for a distance of 275.05 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, said parcel being located in the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, Section 11, Township 20 North, Range 4 East, in Hale County, Alabama. (All bearings are true North references.)

Notice of Street Name Change
Please be advised that the City of Greensboro approved the petition to change the name of Baptist Hill Road to Dr. C. A. Fredd Drive. A petition was presented by his son Mr. C. A. Fredd, Jr., and the city council unanimously approved it in honor and memory of Dr. C. A. Fredd.
Dr. C. A. Fredd was a Hale County native, born in Sawyerville, Alabama, to the late Dr. George Washington Fredd and Charlotte Lyles Fredd. He received his B.S. and Master’s Degree from Alabama State University in Administration and Supervision. His Doctoral studies in Education and Administration were done at Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee, and New York State University in Buffalo, New York.
Dr. C.A. Fredd served as a principal for 18 years at the Hale County Training School before being appointed the President of Tuscaloosa State Trade School. Under his leadership, the school received recognition for its academic program with accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school was later renamed Fredd State Technical College.
The purpose of this street name change is to give honor to a person who was a Hale County native and received his early education under adverse circumstances in the Hale County School System. He was a dedicated educator, humanitarian, spiritual leader, and trailblazer who returned to his birthplace to give back to this community and make it a better place to live. The city recognized Dr. C. A. Fredd’s service, dedication, and commitment to Hale County, Alabama.
A ceremony to recognize the renaming Baptist Hill Road to Dr. C. A. Fredd Drive, with be held Saturday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. on the corner of Salem Baptist Church.
