Hale County Sheriff’s Dept. Releases Recent Activity Report

Arrests:

  • February 2, 2026
    Kentra N. Greene, 39, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to appear.
  • February 4, 2026
    Tyler Eugene Wynn, 19, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to appear and theft of property 1st degree.
    Michael Heritage, 27, of Moundville, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of property 1st degree.
  • February 5, 2026
    Joyce Michelle Smith, 38, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to appear (two counts).
  • February 8, 2026
    Orlando Byrd III, 36, of Akron, was arrested for possession of marijuana 2nd degree.

Incidents:

  • February 2, 2026
    A miscellaneous report was taken on County Road 31 near Moundville.
  • February 3, 2026
    Domestic violence 3rd degree was reported on County Road 42 near Akron.

  • Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – Feb. 17 at St. Paul’s
    St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Greensboro will hold its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the parish hall at 905 Church Street in Greensboro. Serving will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and tickets are $5 per person or $15 for families of four or more. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
