Pat Waller, 87, of Sawyerville, Alabama, died on August 9, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born on January 5, 1938, in Sawyerville to the late Rosie Lee Waller Watkins and Alfred Chavers.
He confessed hope in Christ and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a trustee until his health declined.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Pearl Waller; one son, Pat Waller Jr.; two granddaughters, ReKeisha Waller Miles and Surconia Waller; two sisters, Janie Waller and Nicky Conner; and one son-in-law, Larry D. Lightning.
He is survived by five sons, William (Debra) Waller of Templeton, Massachusetts, Eddie (Beverly) Waller of Moundville, Alabama, Ronald (Valeria) Waller of Midland, Georgia, Rev. Lamont (Kristen) Rhodes of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Damyan (Tykesha) Holifield of Greensboro, Alabama; three daughters, Rosie Waller Lightning of Bonaire, Georgia, Revona (Raymond) Tinker of Sawyerville, Alabama, and Loletha Jordan of Cocoa, Florida; two brothers, Ernest Watkins Jr. of Boston, Massachusetts, and Ricky Conner of Sawyerville, Alabama; one sister, Cora Watkins of Boston, Massachusetts; three brothers-in-law, Sylvester Rhodes of Greensboro, Alabama, Perry (Gladys) Rhodes of Sawyerville, Alabama, and Leo (Audrey) Rhodes of Brockton, Massachusetts; one sister-in-law, Rosie (Larry) Johnson of Greensboro, Alabama; one daughter- in-law, Cynthia Waller; forty-eight grandchildren; sixty-three great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; one niece, three nephews, one greatniece, one great-nephew; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Public viewing was held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Agnew Funeral Home in Greensboro.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Sawyerville, Alabama, with Pastor Marvin W. Wiggins officiating.
