Evaluation/Award: A contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Department of Finance of the State of Alabama at the State Capitol, Room E-317, located at 600 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama, at 10 A.M. on June 26, 2025, to determine whether consent should be given Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (“CAEC”) to borrow from the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation a loan in a maximum principal amount of $20,000,000 to finance, when incurred, storm damage and disaster recovery expenses to Petitioner’s electric distribution system and related fiber optic system.
All of said loan funds will be used to finance storm damage and disaster recovery expenses, when incurred, relating to poles, wires, transformers, security lights, AMI equipment, substations, fiber optic cable, and other electric and fiber optic facilities and the related labor costs and other capital expenditures in the Counties of Autauga, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Perry, Talladega and Tallapoosa, Alabama.
Any person having an interest in these matters may attend the hearing and be heard on the question of whether the issuance of said note and evidences of indebtedness for the loan serves some public need and is in the public interest.
