Issac Croxton died March 9, 2023 at the age of 75. He was born June 19, 1947 to the late Edmond Croxton and Mahalia Hope. He was the middle child of six children. He confessed Christ at an early age. He grew up in Cypress, Alabama and attended Moundville Public Schools. He worked for the University of Alabama for many years. He married the love of his life Doris Croxton in 1970.
Ike entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by parents; three brothers, Jessie Croxton, Sr., William Croxton and Matthew “Mack” Croxton; and a sister, Martha Hines.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Croxton of Akron, Alabama; a son, Ivan Croxton; a daughter, Tawaina Poe; his sister, Mary Lee Croxton; a brother, Alex Webb; his loving grandchildren, Tabitha Croxton, Dennis McKinney and Karon Poe; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 18 at the First Baptist Church of Akron with the Rev. Billy Thornton, pastor, and Washington and Paige Mortuary, directing.
