U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell will host her 15th annual Congressional Job Fair on Thursday, Aug. 6, in Selma, bringing employers from across the state together with job seekers from Alabama’s 7th Congressional District.
The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Wallace Community College Selma, 3000 Earl Goodwin Parkway. Admission is free, and organizers are asking attendees to register in advance through Sewell’s congressional website.
Employers scheduled to attend represent automotive, restaurant and food management, transportation and construction, hospitality and retail, health services, utilities and telecommunications, manufacturing and production, and staffing agencies, along with government agencies and law enforcement.
Both Hale and Perry counties fall within the 7th District, and the Selma campus is within an hour’s drive of most of the district’s western counties.
