A Sawyerville woman is being held in the Hale County Jail on three felony charges, including two counts of stealing prescription painkillers connected to a Greensboro pharmacy, after a traffic stop led to her arrest on outstanding warrants.

Jacqueline Green, 47, of Sawyerville, was arrested June 9. As of that date, Hale County District Court records listed her status as jailed, with bond totaling $30,000 across the three cases. All three charges are Class C felonies.

According to a sworn complaint, Green took a relative’s 90-count prescription of the painkiller Norco from Boone’s Pharmacy on or about April 21 without authorization.

A separate complaint alleges that on or about January 15, she took 90 tablets of oxycodone connected to the same pharmacy. The two cases, filed as DC-2026-900154 and DC-2026-900155, carry bonds of $5,000 and $10,000.

The third charge stems from the traffic stop that led to her arrest. According to the complaint filed by Hale County Deputy Jack D. Nelson, Green was pulled over June 9 for driving an SUV with no tag and gave deputies a false name along with a Social Security number that came back to a man.

She initially denied being “Jackie” Green, the complaint states, but admitted her identity as a Greensboro police captain was en route to identify her. Green acknowledged giving false information because she had an outstanding warrant, according to the complaint, which notes she had felony warrants out of the Greensboro Police Department at the time of the stop.

That case was filed with bond set at $15,000.
