Notice is hereby given that a Petition has been filed in the Probate Court of Hale County, Alabama, by Cecelia Washburn, the natural mother of the minor child currently known as, Serenitie Nichole Cullum, requesting that the child’s name be changed to Serenitie Nichole Washburn.
Any person having an objection to the requested name change shall file a written objection with the Probate Court of Hale County, Alabama, within thirty (30) days from the date of the last publication of this notice, or the Petition may be granted as prayed for.

NOTICE OF FORECLOSURE SALE
Default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by that certain mortgage executed by Roy Lee Warren and Louise H. Warren, husband and wife, to United States of America, acting through the Farmers Home Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, on December 18, 1990, said mortgage being recorded in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Hale County, Alabama, on December 18, 1990 at MTG Book 300, at Page 127.
United States of America acting through the Rural Housing Service or successor agency, United States Department of Agriculture, the current holder, under and by virtue of the power of sale contained in said mortgage, will sell at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash, in front of the main entrance of the Hale County Courthouse, in Greensboro, Alabama, on September 3, 2026, during the legal hours of sale, the following described real estate, situated in Hale County, Alabama, to-wit:
A parcel of property being a part of that property as described at the Hale County Courthouse Office of Probate Judge in Deed Book A-81 at Page 516 and also a part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 20 North, Range 5 East, near the City of Greensboro, in Hale County, Alabama, containing one and zero hundredth acre, more or less (1.00) being more particularly described as follows: Commence at the Northwest corner of Lot Number 7 of the Sara M. Smith subdivision as recorded and shown at the Hale County Courthouse Office of Probate Judge in Map Book 1 on Page 47B, said point being on the Southeastern 100 foot right of way of State Highway Number 25 also being known as the Centerville Road, and run South 66° 56′ West along said road right of way a distance of 98.70 feet to a one half inch iron pipe set and plugged Gurney LS 13897 and point of beginning of the herein described parcel, which point is the Northwest corner of that certain parcel conveyed by deed of Nancy Hoskins, et als, to Eugene Royster and Etta Mae Royster, by deed dated October 15, 1966, and appearing of record in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Hale County, Alabama, in Deed Book A-63 at Page 19, thence continue South 66 ° 56′ West along said road right of way a distance of 190.57 feet to a one and one half inch iron pipe found at the Northeast corner of that certain parcel conveyed by deed of Lucille Hutchinson, et als, to Jacqueline McKenzie, by deed dated May 19, 1986, and appearing of record in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Hale County, Alabama, in Deed Book A-99 at Page 400, thence with an interior angle to the right of 108° 42′ 30″ run Southerly along the East boundary of said McKenzie parcel a distance of 169.03 feet to a one half inch iron pipe set and plugged, thence with an interior angle to the right of 89° 17′ run Easterly a distance of 245.05 feet to a one half inch iron pipe set and plugged on the Western margin of a 20 foot alley being the Western boundary of said Sara M. Smith subdivision, thence with an interior angle to the right of 92° 12′ run Northerly along said Western alley margin and wire fence line a distance of 131.23 feet to a one half inch iron pipe set and plugged, thence with an interior angle to the right of 69° 48′ 30″ run Southwesterly and parallel to said State Highway Number 25 a distance of 75.0 feet to a one half inch iron pipe set and plugged, thence with an interior angle to the right of 290° 11′ 30″ run Northerly for 120.0 feet to the point of beginning making an interior closing angle to the right of 69° 48′ 30″. The bearings as stated in this description are magnetic as observed on September 29, 1990, and referenced to the centerline of said Alabama State Highway Number 25.
LESS AND EXCEPT that part of said property lying in Lot Number 4 of the Borden and Ellis Survey, a map or plat of which appears in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Hale County, Alabama, in Map Book 1 at Page 25-A; being a narrow strip off of the East side of said property, being 35 feet wide, more or less.

This Property will be sold on an “as is, where is” basis, without warranty or recourse, expressed or implied as to title, use and/or enjoyment and will be sold subject to the right of redemption of all parties entitled thereto. Alabama law gives some persons who have an interest in property the right to redeem the property under certain circumstances. This sale is made for the purpose of paying the indebtedness secured by said mortgage, as well as the expense of foreclosure. The successful bidder must tender certified funds by noon the next business day to Law Office of Halliday, Watkins & Mann, P.C. Certified funds must be in the form of a wire transfer, bank or credit union’s cashier’s check, or bank official check payable to Halliday, Watkins & Mann, P.C. Halliday, Watkins & Mann, P.C. reserves the right to award the bid to the next highest bidder should the highest bidder fail to timely tender the total amount due.
If sale is voided, Mortgagee/Transferee shall return the bid amount to the successful purchaser and the Mortgagee/Transferee shall not be liable to the purchase for any damages. If the sale is set aside for any reason, the purchaser at the sale shall be only entitled to a return of the deposit and bid amount, if paid.
The Mortgagee/Transferee reserves the right to bid for and purchase the real estate and to credit its purchase price against the expenses of sale and indebtedness secured by the real estate. This sale is subject to postponement or cancellation.
