HCSD reports arrests for SORNA violation, DUI, FTA

Hale County Sheriff’s Department released the following report of the department’s recent activities:

Arrests:

April 28, 2025
James H. Johnson, 27, of Uniontown, was arrested for failure to appear (two counts).

April 29, 2025
Adam Scott Brown, 26, of Uniontown, was arrested for failure to appear (three counts).
Jessie Dwayne Grisby, 42, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to appear (three counts).
Laalfred Carter, 38, of Greensboro, was arrested for failure to appear (three counts).

May 1, 2025
Sylvester Darnell Richardson, 62, of Akron, was arrested for a SORNA violation.

May 2, 2025
Nathaniel T. Johnson, 76, of Sawyerville, was arrested for driving under the influence.

Incidents:

April 28, 2025
Theft of property in the first degree was reported on Riverview Beach Road near Moundville.

April 29, 2025
Criminal mischief in the third degree was reported twice on Highway 14 near Sawyerville.

  • Camden teen, Gallion woman die in two-vehicle crash outside Demopolis
    A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:05 p.m. Friday, May 2, has claimed the life of a Camden juvenile. The 18- year-old was fatally injured when the 2016 Nissan Altima the teen was a passenger in, struck the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Heather R. Hill, 37, of Gallion.
