CSP of West Alabama announces ‘Digital Bingo’

Community Service Programs of West Alabama (CSP) is excited to announce the launch of its 2024 Digital Skills Challenge: Digital Bingo.

The 2024 Digital Skills Challenge: Digital Bingo involves completing a bingo card of digital skills activities. The first 200 participants with the most squares completed on their bingo card will receive a laptop computer.

Bingo cards are available by attending an orientation/registration preassessment session. Interested participants may call 205-469-0397 to register for a session. Digital bingo rules and additional prize information will also be shared at the orientation/registration session.

“We are excited about this opportunity to connect residents with a digital navigator who can assist community members with internet skills and the use of computers and devices,” said Antwon Prince-Sealy, Director of Housing Programs. “We are committed to demystifying technology by providing one-on-one, ongoing assistance to connect residents with affordable internet, devices, technical skills, and application support associated with education, workforce development, telehealth, financial capabilities, and housing support/supportive services.”

In partnership with local public libraries and with financial support from the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA), the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), and NeighborWorks America, Digital Bingo is currently available to residents in Dallas, Greene, Hale, and Sumter Counties. (A new Digital Bingo Challenge will launch in 2025 for residents in Bibb, Choctaw, Fayette, Lamar, Perry, and Tuscaloosa Counties.
