Greensboro High School Class of 2024 “Celebration of Scholars” commencement ceremony will take place May 13, 2024 at 6:00 pm at Martin Gymnasium on the campus of Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa.
This year’s valedictoriain is Angel Ash, and the salutatorian is Tavis White.

The seniors also celebrated the 3rd Annual GHS Baccalaureate Celebration on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Hale County College and Career Academy in Greensboro. Baccalaureate is a Christianity-based interdenominational religious celebration in honor of all high school graduates.
This year’s featured speaker was Mr. David Reeves, Jr., a distinguished alumnus of Greensboro High School, class of 2011, where he excelled both academically and athletically. After a successful football career at Duke University and in the NFL, David transitioned to the technology sector, where he applies his strategic acumen as a compensation analyst and consultant. Deeply committed to his community, David continues to inspire young athletes through football camps in Greensboro, AL. At the event, he shared the values of leadership, perseverance, and adaptability that have guided him throughout his journey.
During the celebration, graduates received their preference of either a personalized Bible or a personalized favorite book. The culminating event featured an open seating, buffetstyle, Baccalaureate Reception.
