Dr. Jessica Constant has been named the new Assistant Superintendent of Phenix City Schools of Teaching and Learning. A native of Greensboro, AL, Dr. Constant brings a wealth of experience and a passion for educational excellence to her new role.
With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years in the field of education, Dr. Constant has garnered a reputation for her unwavering commitment to student success and her innovative leadership style. Holding a Ph.D. in Educational Management from Hampton University, an Educational Specialist degree from the University of Montevallo, as well as Master’s degrees in School Counseling and Education Administration from the University of West Alabama, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Stillman College, Dr. Constant’s academic credentials are matched only by her dedication to advancing educational opportunities for all students.
Throughout her career, Dr. Constant has served in various capacities, including teaching and school leadership roles at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Notably, she has achieved remarkable success in improving graduation rates at Akron Community School and Greensboro High School during her tenure at these institutions.
Currently serving as the Coordinator of Student Services for Tuscaloosa City Schools and as a facilitator of Schools of Character, Dr. Constant has demonstrated a keen interest in supporting at-risk students, particularly those who have overcome adversity. Her commitment to fostering a positive school culture and creating meaningful change has earned her numerous awards and accolades for her innovative leadership.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Constant finds fulfillment in her close-knit family. She and Phillip Constant are the proud parents of Nahia, Phillip, and Maya Constant. Dr. Constant is also a member of Greater Faith Church in Moundville, AL. In her spare time, she enjoys helping others find employment and enrollment opportunities, further exemplifying her commitment to service and community engagement.
