Hale County Health Department will be offering eye health examinations on Thursday, April 18 and Thursday, June 13 to area citizens. Comprehensive eye exams start at just $20, with those needing glasses ranging from $40 to $60.
These exams will include a diabetes eye exam. This is a retinal eye exam that can detect eye disease at an early stage and help curb vision loss or permanent blindness for those with diabetes or who are pre-diabetic.
Appointments may be scheduled with Crystal Baldwin-Hill at 334-624-3018. This opportunity is sponsored by The Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Association and The Alabama Department of Public Health through a grant from the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors.
