Our community joins in celebrating the 95th birthday of former longtime resident Ms. Carline Mosley on March 24th. Born in rural Alabama in 1929, Carline grew up in Sawyerville. She is the oldest remaining member of the wider Chris Collins family tree, along with five surviving siblings, a son and three grandchildren. After raising her own son as a single mother, she dedicated over 40 years of her career to serving as a caring nurse’s aide with unwavering compassion.
Carline’s loved ones describe her as the family cornerstone whose steady wisdom and renowned humor uplift everyone she meets. “She greets each day with joy and lives to bring cheer to others,” says her close friend, Eloise Jackson.
Though Carline has faced health challenges in recent years, her trademark strength and fiery spirit remain intact. When asked how it feels to turn 95, Carline smiled that glowing smile of hers and declared, “With God’s blessings, I feel brand new!”
