U’town, Newbern men arrested for shooting here Aug. 7

Two men were reportedly arrested on Monday and Tuesday following a shooting incident in Greensboro, according to court documents. Jimmy Moore and Roderick Maurice James Jr. have both been charged with reckless endangerment in Hale County district court.

The incident took place on Aug. 7, with Moore, a resident of Uniontown, being arrested the same day, and James, a resident of Newbern, being arrested on Aug. 8.The bond for each defendant has been set at $6000.00. As of press time, court documents showed that both defendants were still in the custody of Hale County Jail.

At the time of this report, the court actions have been initiated, but no trial dates have been set. Both defendants are set to face further legal proceedings for the alleged offense.
