The Black Belt Small Farmers Ruminant Improvement Association held their monthly meeting on Monday, April 3, at the Hale County Extension Office. Led by Eddie Smith, the group discussed upcoming plans for the month. Among those plans, next week, 18 association members are scheduled to attend the 2023 Small Farms Research Center’s AAMU Conference from April 10 through April 14 in Mobile. Other speakers at the meeting included: Jonathan Rossell, mayor of Akron; Theodis Rassman, manager of the Uniontown Farmers Market; and the Hale County Extension Office.
