The Magnolia Homemakers and Community Leaders met on February 21, 2023 at Hale County Extension building.

Twenty-five members, including two guests, were present. Nancy Jennings, president, presided. It was reported that scholarship applications had been sent to three Hale County schools. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded this spring.

Pam Hamilton shared an informative program entitled “Increase Your Safety in Today’s Dangerous World.” She included tips on how to maintain an offensive stance as opposed to a less effective defensive stance. Much of information had been gleaned from Jonathan Gilliam’s book entitled Sheep No More.

Members completed a St. Patrick’s Day leprechaun craft project.
