Jane Cummins Jones, 88 of Greensboro, AL went to her eternal home on February 24, 2023. She was born on September 8, 1934 in Fairfield, VA to Carrol Cummins and Annie Ware Cummins. She was a bookkeeper at the Greensboro Farmers Co-op.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, William B. Jones; her daughter, Shirley Jones Mains of West Columbia, SC; and her son, Robert Michael Jones of Moundville, AL. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Michael Mains, Jennifer Mains (Mikeal), and Lauren Passmore; and one great-grandchild, Regan Passmore.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Greensboro First United Methodist Church. Funeral service followed at 11:00 am also at the church with Rev Doug Jolly officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Greensboro Chapel directing. Graveside service followed at Oakwood-Martin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Braz Barnette, John Marchant, Michael Mains, Nick Seals, Charley Seals, and Ronny Hallmon. Honorary pallbearers were: Veritas Club, and the Excelscious Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Greensboro First United Methodist Church.
