Hale County Hospital’s: Hospital Corner

February marks “Black History Month” which is an exciting time for many members throughout the community and the Hale County Hospital. We are fortunate here at Hale County Healthcare Authority to have so many employees who have dedicated their lives to carry on the mission of the hospital. To celebrate Black History Month, the hospital corner will feature an employee from our hospital and clinics. This week, we are honored to highlight Daphne Travis, Hale County Hospital’s Clinical Nurse Manager. Daphne is a Greensboro native and has spent most of her nursing career working for Hale County Hospital. Her kind, welcoming nature has left an impact on some many patients who have been cared for at Hale County Hospital. Daphne is known amongst her coworkers as someone they can turn to when they need help and look up to her as a leader within the hospital staff. Outside of the hospital, Daphne is deeply involved in the Greensboro Community and can always be seen on a Hale County Hospital float through any parade that goes down Main Street. We are proud to have a woman such as Daphne working for Hale County Healthcare Authority!

Our mission is to ensure that the community feels cared for and knows that there is a local hospital that will support their needs. The act of traveling far for healthcare services is overwhelming, and our hospital is here to help. Whether you or your family needs care from our award winning outpatient clinics (with locations in Greensboro and Moundville), our inpatient and outpatient physical therapy and rehab teams, our 5 star rated home health team, our emergency room, laboratory, and radiology departments, or in our beautifully remodeled hospital East Wing that provides inpatient care, 21 day rehab, and hospice care, Hale County Hospital is your hometown center for healthcare excellence in West Alabama.
